3   Our God is in the heavens;
    he does all that he pleases.

11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. 12 Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.

2   “I know that you can do all things,
    and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.

9   The heart of man plans his way,
    but the LORD establishes his steps.

21   Many are the plans in the mind of a man,
    but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.

9     remember the former things of old;
  for I am God, and there is no other;
    I am God, and there is none like me,
10   declaring the end from the beginning
    and from ancient times things not yet done,
  saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
    and I will accomplish all my purpose,’

35   all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing,
    and he does according to his will among the host of heaven
    and among the inhabitants of the earth;
  and none can stay his hand
    or say to him, “What have you done?”

19   The LORD has established his throne in the heavens,
    and his kingdom rules over all.

28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
