25 Bible Verses About Happiness (NIV)

⁴ Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.

¹² I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live.

⁴ Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

² Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation."

¹³ Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, ¹⁴ for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. ¹⁵ She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. ¹⁶ Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. ¹⁷ Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. ¹⁸ She is a tree of life to those who embrace her; those who lay hold of her will be blessed.

¹³ Even in laughter the heart may ache, and joy may end in grief.

³ With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

⁷ And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

¹⁴ But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened."

¹³ That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil-this is the gift of God.

³ Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

¹⁷ "Blessed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. ¹⁸ For he wounds, but he also binds up; he injures, but his hands also heal. ¹⁹ From six calamities he will rescue you; in seven no harm will befall you. ²⁰ In famine he will ransom you from death, and in battle from the stroke of the sword. ²¹ You will be protected from the lash of the tongue, and need not fear when destruction comes. ²² You will laugh at destruction and famine, and need not fear the beasts of the earth. ²³ For you will have a covenant with the stones of the field, and the wild animals will be at peace with you. ²⁴ You will know that your tent is secure; you will take stock of your property and find nothing missing. ²⁵ You will know that your children will be many, and your descendants like the grass of the earth. ²⁶ You will come to the grave in full vigor, like sheaves gathered in season. ²⁷ "We have examined this, and it is true. So hear it and apply it to yourself."

¹⁰ That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

²⁰ Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD.

⁸ Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

¹² Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.

²² A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

¹¹ You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

² through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

¹³ But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

¹⁸ Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

¹³ A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.
