25 Bible Verses About Zeal (ESV)

2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

11 Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.

19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.

14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

17   He put on righteousness as a breastplate,
    and a helmet of salvation on his head;

9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

10:1 Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.

9:1 I am speaking the truth in Christ—I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit—2 that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh.

13 As for you, brothers, do not grow weary in doing good.

14 And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, so extremely zealous was I for the traditions of my fathers.

6 as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to righteousness under the law, blameless.

7   Of the increase of his government and of peace
    there will be no end,
  on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
    to establish it and to uphold it
  with justice and with righteousness
    from this time forth and forevermore.
  The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.

12 So with yourselves, since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church.

7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
