24   A man of many companions may come to ruin,
    but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

17   A friend loves at all times,
    and a brother is born for adversity.

16 But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God. 17 Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the LORD do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you.”

21   Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness
    will find life, righteousness, and honor.

And some told me to kill you, but I spared you. I said, ‘I will not put out my hand against my lord, for he is the LORD’s anointed.’

9 Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,

2 Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.

6   Many a man proclaims his own steadfast love,
    but a faithful man who can find?

8   and that they should not be like their fathers,
    a stubborn and rebellious generation,
  a generation whose heart was not steadfast,
    whose spirit was not faithful to God.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

17   Iron sharpens iron,
    and one man sharpens another.

13   if we are faithless, he remains faithful—

for he cannot deny himself.

13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
