2   A fool takes no pleasure in understanding,
    but only in expressing his opinion.

4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

7:1 “Judge not, that you be not judged.

7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8     do not hastily bring into court,
  for what will you do in the end,
    when your neighbor puts you to shame?

16 as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. 17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability.

13 And all the people shall hear and fear and not act presumptuously again.

5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,

6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.

    it is his folly and shame.

Bold and willful, they do not tremble as they blaspheme the glorious ones,

19 Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail.
